The Pencil and Paper Staple

In my previous open figure drawing session I talked about going back to the basics by using only pencil and paper.  This week I continued on with the basics, its so much fun! I love pencil because if it is a short pose I can simply do a line drawing with a wide range of easily adjustable lines.  If its longer I can quickly fill in  blocks of value that are also easily adjustable with an eraser.  The only down side is the lack of value range, but I find the malleability of the media to be nicer than charcoal for studies. Pencil and Paper is my artistic staple for the time being.
