Poor Governance and Protests in Madison, WI

Supporting wisconsin unions with a loud voice

Some things are just obvious.  Like. Umm, don’t piss off the people who teach your children, guard your prisons, take your garbage, plow your roads (this one is especially important in Wisconsin), work your iron, heal your sick and numerous other public jobs.  One thing is for sure, Scott Walker’s attempt to create jobs is going horribly horribly wrong.

In response to Walker’s plans to end Collective Bargaining with Unions built and painted two signs for the protests in Madison.  They were simple to make and held up well to strong wind.  I cut 3 pairs of holes for zip ties to bind a sheet of 36″x24″ foamcore to a stick of wood (1″x2″).  I made sure to fill the holes with glue before putting in zip ties to prevent tearing of the foamcore.  Once zipped I added extra glue everywhere and covered both sizes of the foamcore with Acrylic Matte Medium for extra strength.  After that paint (yay!)

Materials for a protest sign

Exacto blade (or scissors), foamcore, stick of wood, glue, zip ties

We traveled from Milwaukee to protest in Madison and it was inspiring to see thousands gathered in response to the class warfare being waged by our Governor.  If you know anyone who is a public worker or if you appreciate clean roads, garbage pickup, and quality education share your support!
