As much as I rant about the silliness of clean lawns and all the gasoline, fertalizer, and pesticides it comes with I admit that Penn State’s campus is remarkably beautiful. Majestic trees stretch from the ground to shelter decades of students passing beneath. After a portrait painting session at Studio Charriere in downtown State College I decided to try some Plein Air on campus. I barely made it onto campus before a view of light and shadow caught hold of me:
