New York City

I recently visited New York City for the first time with my family.  Coming from Milwaukee, a city of close a couple million,  I was overwhelmed (in a good way).  The majority of our time was spent wandering the streets soaking in the city and the people in it.  It was a joy and it was transforming.  Here were some of my favorite parts:

ny architecture

gated graffiti

While there I managed to check out MOMA.  My grandmother, Caroline Greenwald, has work in their collection and so we were able to view her work.  Afterward we explored their current exhibitions.  Several artghasms ensued.  Here were some I found particularly fascinating: (hover over image for artist and title)

  • Again, I hit the computer very late in the evening/morning. Enjoyed going through your site, I expecially like the Detox Center. Also enjoyed the works in MOMA that you selected to show. Paul Klee is a wonderful artist, hit the library to read about him and look at his many works. Dear art works. Who did the birds eye view of a city with the skull in the center of the map? Glad you ran into that one what with all the choice works you have done simular to that one, I love yours especially those in those in your U of W graduating seniors show. Too tired to coment on other things. Sorry, but love, San
